Claire

Claire Canterbury SalonHi, my name is Claire.

I am a Senior Consultant at the Canterbury salon. I have been hairdressing since 2006 and completed my NVQ level 2 in 2008.

I enjoy meeting with clients and creating a unique look that they like and are able to still create the same look at home.
What motivates me at work is that all clients leave the salon fully satisfied with their experience.

In the future, my aim is to have completed an NVQ level 3 and an assessors course. This resulting in mentoring up and coming stylist. It's important to me to encourage and support others to do well.

Maisy

Hello, my name is Maisy.

I am a Designer at Stone Hairdressing. I have worked at Stone for 3 years. I began working after school and then started an apprenticeship achieving my NVQ Level 2.

I have recently started working as a stylist and I am loving working alongside the other stylists. I love doing creative colouring and cutting but my main passion is hair-up and dressing long hair. This passion started with me doing pageant hair for my friends. I really enjoyed doing creative and classic hair-ups on myself and the
other girls.

I have been keeping up to date with styles and trends by attending hair-up courses I was lucky to work alongside Kent Bridal Hair on a course recently and I have been practicing on some of the Stone girls using social media
trends. I describe myself as adventurous, ambitious and inventive.

I look forward to continuing my future as a hairdresser at Stone and to achieve my ambition of eventually owning my own salon. I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet you all,

Maisy.

Jo

Hi there! My name is Jo, and I have been hairdressing since 2017. After completing my Level 2 Hairdressing qualification, I have chosen to continue studying for an advanced level 3 qualification currently completing my NVQ level 3.

I am passionate about doing hair-up for events as well as hair extensions. I have completed a Rapture tape hair extension course and feel competent in applying this method.

My future goal in the hairdressing industry is to master the art of wig crafting. My passion for wigs began when I had my hair cut super short back in late 2017, I didn’t look like myself and decided that wigs were the best way forward. I love it I could change my hair colour and style at any given time of day. Wearing wigs made me realise how important your hair is to yourself as an individual, which inspired me to look into the art of wig making.

Whilst on my hair extension course there were a few women who were doing this craft and I found it fascinating. I am hoping to be starting my new venture in mid-2020. I am looking forward to meeting all current and future clients here at
Stone Hairdressing. I am also looking forward to improving and widening my hairdressing knowledge as the years go on.
Thank you and I hope to see you soon Jo x

Jess

Jess NewHi, my name is Jess and I’m a Senior Consultant at Stone Hairdressing.

I specialise in hair extensions, hair ups, hair colour and cutting. I have attended lots of hairdressing courses over the years to further my skills – including creative colour, cutting, barbering, hair up and hair extensions.

I love every moment of my job and each day is different which excites me. I’m a very bubbly, kind, funny person and always willing to make my clients happy.

Lindsey

Lindsey NewMy name is Lindsey Munro, I am a Consultant at Stone Hairdressing. I have been working at Stone for a year now and I absolutely love it!

I have been hairdressing for roughly 12 years and I’m still loving what I do – including everything from cuts and colours to gents styling. I love it all.

I have completed NVQ level 1s, 2, and 3 (with distinction) and have been on several Goldwell courses, including hair colour correction.

Even though I have been doing hairdressing for several years, I am still really passionate about it. Clients often come into the salon not knowing what they want, and after a good consultation I manage to get the best results possible, and the client leaves feeling glam and great!

That’s the best part of it all, I honestly believe that there’s no other job as rewarding as mine!

I describe myself as fun, caring and very passionate in whatever I do. I will be happy to look after you. Thank you for your time.

Charmaine

Charmaine NewHi, my name is Charmaine. I have worked at Stone hairdressing for 8 years now including my 2-year apprenticeship.

In the 8 years of working for Stone hairdressing, I have been on many courses giving me the knowledge and experience to be able to give my clients the hair they have always desired. Due to the many courses I have been able to go on, I have been able to progress in my career over the years and now become a Salon Consultant.

The best thing about my job is that every day is different, a variation of colour and cuts. I get to meet different people with different needs which keeps me motivated.

At stone hairdressing, we are a family and have built a great relationship with each other. We share our knowledge with each other every day so we can give our clients the best of our abilities.

With all the experience stone hairdressing has given me, I am passionate and confident in all parts of hairdressing. Thank you for reading my bio and I look forward to meeting you.

Emily

EmilyHi, my name is Emily.  I have been a part of the Stone Hairdressing Team since November 2012. I joined as an apprentice and trained for 18 months before qualifying and being taken on as a Stylist at the salon, and I am now a Consultant.

I was very nervous when I first when onto the floor but as time went on I gained more and more confidence with the help of the courses I got sent on. These included two cutting courses at the Goldwell Academy in London, a hair up course where we learnt different hair up styles and techniques.

I have also done a course at the GHD Academy practicing with all the different GHD styling tongs as well as starting a course to become a Master Colourist.

I am trained and qualified in Beauty Works extensions which I thoroughly enjoy as it is something different to the everyday work we do in the salon.  I love doing every part of hairdressing as it is always something different and I love the fact that over the past 5 and half years I have gained my lovely, loyal clientele which makes my job enjoyable as I get to have a little catch up with them as well as freshening up their hair! I also love having new clients as this gives me a challenge as it’s something completely new – and sometimes I get to create my own little style for them.

Over my years of being on the salon floor I have worked my way up by being promoted as I have hit my targets which is hard but also very rewarding. I have just recently been promoted twice in the last 6 months and am now
a Salon Consultant.

I would describe myself as a likeable, friendly person who is open, honest and approachable and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Dave

DaveI’m David, I have worked for Stone Hairdressing since 2001 where I started as an assistant in the Canterbury salon. The salon was only 18 months old so was a really exciting time to join the team. After qualifying as a stylist I quickly grew a clientele and was promoted to assistant manager.  In 2004, the Kings Hill salon was opened and I transferred over as Salon Manager.

This industry really excites me, and every day is different. I’m still as passionate today as I was when I started, this shows in the work I produce. I constantly challenge myself and keep up to date by attending regular training events and I’m fortunate that some of these take me abroad.

Services I specialise in are:

  • Cutting
  • Colouring (all aspects including colour correction)
  • Blow-dries
  • Permanent straightening
  • Keratin blow dries

With years of experience, I can advise you on getting the best from your hair and design you a style that not only suits you but will also be manageable at home. I have lots of knowledge when it comes to cutting extremely fine and thick hair types and will help you get great results.

I appreciate that changing hairdressers can be a very stressful experience for many people. I’m very patient and will give you time to discuss your requirements. I’m good with people that find it hard to communicate what they want and will give you the best advice.

I look forward to welcoming you.

Bexx

Bex New

My name is Bexx, I have been working at Stone Hairdressing since 2011.

I work in the Canterbury salon as a stylist on the Top Assistant director level. I am also a qualified assessor and have trained many of our apprentices and stylists across both our salons.

In 2015, after spending 3 years completing the Goldwell Academy ‘Master Colourist Programme’ in London, I became a colour correction specialist.

In 2019 I started my curly hair journey to become a curl specialist. Having spoken to a lot of curly girls I realised that virtually every single one of them had a hair salon horror story. I decided I wanted to create a safe environment for curly clients where they could relax knowing they would be able to leave with a bespoke curly cut and all the information and styling lessons they would need to create beautifully defined curls.

Please feel free to have a look at my work on my Instagram page @bexx_hair or my Facebook page @bexxhairr. If you have any questions at all, give me a message on one of my hair accounts and I will be happy to help.

Look forward to meeting you, Bexx x
